Innovation in the Welsh Valleys prompts new nickname ECO VALLEYS

TIPI along with other like minded brands in the borderland Welsh valleys are creating a new strata of rural eco businesses. This broad range of eco innovators and manufacturers are taking inspiration from their environment and advantage of the local talent and manufacturing work force.

Whilst the 100th Royal Welsh Show (the largest agricultural show in Europe) is taking place just over the hill, there is a new breed of rural enterprises joining forces to save our planet.

Founder Jacqui Horton says:

“This area is known for its natural beauty and creativity (and the local Hay Festival).  We have dubbed it ECO VALLEY, an upcoming planet friendly version of Silicon Valley..  We work in collaboration with many other like minded local businesses and our warehousing and manufacture is within a 50 mile radius of our farm based studios.”

Both large enterprises with a global reach and smaller kitchen table businesses are springing up with an eco message at their core, including festivals like the Green Man Festival and of course the world renowned literally festival in HAY.  Whether an eco tent company, artisan bread makers (Alex Gooch), or manufacturers supplying global brands, the Eco Valleys hold a wealth of enterprise and opportunity.
